Environmental, Social & Governance Policy

Introduction:

5D Net Zero takes its ESG responsibilities seriously and is committed to advancing its policies and systems across the company this will ensure it addresses and monitors all aspects of ESG that are relevant to its business; these include how 5D Net Zero safeguards the environment, how 5D Net Zero manages relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and the community and lastly that 5D Net Zero prioritises transparency and responsibility throughout its governance.

5D Net Zero recognises that communication is a critical ingredient for success. Collaboration and the development of ideas that contribute to business performance and continuous improvement are encouraged.

5D Net Zero strongly believes that integrity in dealings with customers is a prerequisite for a successful and sustained business relationship.

5D Net Zero operates a highly effective and efficient organisation, focused on meeting customer objectives. Its aim is to provide services which give fair value and consistent quality, reliability and safety in return for fair reward. It operates policies of continual improvement, of both processes and the skills of its staff. This safeguards its operations for the future, ensuring that it continues to add value to its customers’ businesses.

Ethical Conduct:

5D Net Zero is committed to conducting its business ethically and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.  5D Net Zero ensures that all employees, customers, contractors and those who come into contact with the company are treated equally and with fairness and consistency at all times.

The following is a summary of the Ethics Policy:

All directors and employees have the right and responsibility to ensure that the Company’s business is conducted with high ethical and legal principles.

Our policy is to operate within applicable laws.

Discrimination or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

Compliance to the strict rules on confidentiality issues.

Conflicts of interest must be avoided.

Be a responsible partner within our local communities.

Employees are encouraged and supported to report, in confidence, any suspected wrongdoings.

Ensure that the business’ operations do not have a negative impact on the local community.

Work with local charities and encourage employees to do any charitable work.

Appropriate ethical behaviour is reviewed as part of the Company’s internal control process.

Environmental Awareness:

5D Net Zero will employ the best control mechanisms, practices and procedures that are technologically sound and economically viable for continual improvement in our environmental performance. Senior management will ensure that effective environmental operating procedures are implemented and followed, in order to mitigate all potential risks to the environment, resulting from the business activities of 5D Net Zero:

Identify and comply with all legislative and other environmental requirements relevant to our business. For example, The Greenhouse Gas Protocol and the PPN 06/21 standards.

Provide a framework within the Environmental Management System to set and review a series of objectives and targets.  An effective program shall be implemented to ensure the achievement of these through periodic monitoring of the objectives listed and the implementation of regular auditing.

Encourage current and future use of sustainable supplies, where costs allow, and create awareness of environmental and sustainability issues for all staff through employee development and training.

5D Net Zero will endeavour to reduce, reuse, and recycle waste produce as far as practicable. This includes the reduction of energy waste and wastewater, the reuse of materials and recycling of all paper.

Encourage any organisation sub-contracting to us to be more environmentally aware and to adhere to our environmental operating procedures whilst working at any of our sites.

Governance:

5D Net Zero will continue to monitor the rules and practices which determine how the company operates to ensure it aligns with the interest of all of its stakeholders. This will be done through continuing to prioritise the four key principles of governance:

Accountability

Fairness

Transparency

Responsibility

These key principles will be achieved through:

Having the board of directors come together on a regular basis to make decisions about the direction of the company and set long term goals to ensure a sustainable growth.

Ensuring the board of directors contains a mix of skillsets allowing for a variety of ideas and creative methods of solving problems to arise.

Directors that are able to dedicate sufficient time to their responsibilities and have the opportunity to regularly update their skillset.

Continue to ensure compliance in health and safety and auditing management system regulations.

Maintain openness and willingness to share accurate, clear, and easy-to-understand information with stakeholders.

A solid risk management process, an internal control framework and an up-to-date disaster recovery plan are all key to achieving this aim.

Good corporate governance leads to ethical business practices, which leads to financial viability.
